Safari Man Steve
"Safari Man Steve" began as a personal exercise in Character Design and Concept Development, but turned into a series pitch. Safari Man Steve, a high-energy explorer and host of nature TV show "Safari Man", travels the world and educates his audience about the wonderful world of animals. Globally renowned for his expansive knowledge of the natural world, his wisdom often disguises his true naivete and childlike innocence--the side of him mostly seen by his devoted college intern/babysitter, Kennedy, and Steve's rescued kestrel Hodari. Sometimes, his excitement for animals clouds his judgment -- leading him to misunderstanding animal behavior especially in dangerous situations (no, Steve, the grizzly bear does not want a hug!). However, of all the animal kingdom, the one creature that can penetrate Steve's aura of positivity is a young chimpanzee he spitefully calls "Kevin", a stowaway primate who loves to give him trouble.

Kennedy: "Sir, after you named her Boysenbear, I don't think she wants to give you a hug..."
